I live in the alert zone adjacent to the evacuation area of the Palisades fires in Los Angeles. In January, the fires darkened the sky, smoke stung the eyes and delivered ash everywhere. The ground looked like it had snowed.
People lost everything in minutes. Stories of residents losing their treasures filled the news. One woman’s home, worth 3.2 million, was in escrow. Within less than an hour it was ash. Of course she felt devastated. However, that did not crush her spirit. She was grateful for being safe, unharmed.
Hearing about a mastermind group taking place at the end of the month, she decided to attend to help her become grounded again. The participants of the group were shocked. Putting themselves in her shoes deepened the experience for each of them. And because of their dedication to her, she found her inner power to hold the grief and gratitude inside her. She went through what felt like a rebirth. What was most important to her became clear. She made some tough decisions and is beginning a new chapter.
Regardless of what is happening on the outside, inside there is an incredible reserve of strength to draw on. More than you think. Whatever is happening in your life, know that you can draw on that inner reserve and accept help.
The longer we live, the more we get to experience the fact that acceptance is the only way to the next chapter. Whether it be illness, death, wildfire, loss of any kind….we must face and accept it to move on.
Standing with you,
RelationSmiths, Nancy and Sharon
